SAVE $40-50
Planning a road trip for Memorial day? You may not think it’s a big deal, but your gas mileage can be improved by more than 3 percent just by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure.
This equates to an annual savings of about $40-$50 at the pump.
If every vehicle in the U.S. that is currently driving around on under-inflated tires began to regularly check and properly inflate their tires, the total fuel savings would be almost 88 million barrels per year.
Did You Know…?
An estimated 173 million vehicles in the U.S. are currently driving around on under-inflated tires.
Having under-inflated tires reduces your gas mileage. But over-inflating them does not give you even better gas mileage. It’s best to stick to the manufacturer’s recommendation for tire pressure.
