Save $50
Go to your local community’s fireworks show instead of setting off your own and save up to $50 or more per year.  Unlike the fireworks sold at roadside stands and across the boarder, professional fireworks shows are increasingly launching flares that are made with minimal amounts of harmful chemicals, less smoke, and fewer heavy metals.  Besides the safety factor, fireworks sold for home use (some of which are illegal) tend to use a substance called perchlorate to speed up the fuel-burning process that drives them. Perchlorate can enter the human body through air or water and inhibit the working of the thyroid gland.

Did you know that Americans spend $620 million per year on 238 million pounds of backyard fireworks? Each year, nearly 8,000 fireworks-related injuries occur. Keep your family safe by keeping fireworks off the premises.
